“BUILT IN SILENCE”

In a world that celebrates constant updates, public displays, and loud declarations of progress, God’s work often happens quietly. There is wisdom in silence. Jesus, during His earthly ministry, frequently withdrew to solitary places to pray. Nehemiah inspected the walls of Jerusalem by night before revealing God’s plan. And when Zerubbabel began rebuilding the temple, it wasn’t through flashy strength, it was through quiet obedience to the Spirit of God.

Building in silence doesn’t mean hiding in fear, it means walking in wisdom. When you work in quiet surrender, you eliminate distractions, protect what is sacred, and allow God to be your defender. In silence, you’re less likely to be derailed by opinions, attacks, or envy. You’re not proving anything to people, you’re being faithful to the One who called you.

Let them wonder what you’re doing. Let them question your pace. God sees your hidden obedience, and in due time, He will make all things visible in His glory.

“So he answered me, ‘This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6 (NIV)

Father in Heaven, I thank You for being my strength and my guide. Teach me to move in silence when You call me to, to trust Your Spirit above the noise of the world. Help me to build what You’ve placed in my heart without needing validation or applause. Protect my vision from premature exposure and guard it from every attack. I trust that what is done by Your Spirit cannot be shaken. In the quiet, may I hear You more clearly and follow You more closely.
