“How The Lord Brought Me “From My Own Private Hell To Salvation”

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 (KJV)

There was a time in my life when I believed that darkness would define my future. Pain was familiar. Brokenness was my companion. The wounds I carried seemed far too deep for anyone to understand, and there were moments when I questioned whether I would ever experience true peace or genuine love. Yet even in the darkest valleys, God never lost sight of me.

My life is living proof that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace.

I first shared my story/testimony in my novel entitled “From Hell to Salvation One Girls Journey”.  This is not simply a story of hardship. It is a testimony of redemption. It is the account of a life that was touched by unimaginable trials, transformed by God’s mercy, and restored through the saving power of Jesus Christ. Every chapter of my book reflects the faithfulness of a God who specializes in turning ashes into beauty, despair into hope, and bondage into freedom.

The enemy intended to destroy me.

He sought to silence my voice, steal my purpose, and convince me that my past would forever define me. But Satan underestimated the power of God. What the enemy meant for evil, God used for His glory.

As I surrendered my life completely to Jesus Christ, He began healing places within me that no human could reach. He restored my identity, renewed my spirit, and reminded me that I was His daughter before I was ever a victim of life’s circumstances. His love became stronger than my fears. His promises became louder than the lies I had believed for so many years.

God did not merely rescue me ~ He commissioned me.

Today, I serve as Rev. Dr. Roberta Heck, Chaplain, founder of Roberta Heck Ministries, ministering to individuals from every walk of life. It is both a privilege and a sacred responsibility to encourage those who have lost hope, comfort the hurting, pray with the brokenhearted, and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Every sermon preached, every prayer offered, every life touched, and every word written is evidence that God still transforms lives.

My ministry was born out of brokenness.
My compassion was developed through suffering.
My faith was strengthened through countless battles.

Because I know what it feels like to cry in silence, I recognize the tears of others. I can feel their pain because I’ve walked in their shoes. I stumbled down those spiral steps to hell with my eyes wide shut, just as so many have. Because I have experienced God’s miraculous restoration, I can boldly testify that healing is possible. Because I have been through fire, I can assure others that God walks with us through every flame.

There is no prison so strong that God cannot open its doors.
There is no addiction so powerful that His grace cannot break its chains.
There is no heart so shattered that His love cannot restore it.
There is no sinner so lost that His mercy cannot save them.

Many people see where I am today, but they may never fully understand where God brought me from. My past is not something I celebrate, but it is something I no longer hide. My testimony belongs to God because it demonstrates His limitless mercy. Every scar reminds me that I survived by His grace. Every victory reminds me that He kept His promises.

If my life teaches anything, let it be this:
Never underestimate what God can do with a surrendered heart.
He is still calling prodigals’ home.
He is still healing broken families.
He is still restoring shattered dreams.
He is still delivering those trapped in addiction, fear, abuse, and hopelessness.
He is still writing miracles every single day.

Perhaps today you feel forgotten, rejected, or overwhelmed by your circumstances. Maybe your past continues to haunt you, or your future appears uncertain. I want you to know that your story is not over. God sees every tear you have cried. He knows every burden you carry. He has never abandoned you, even when you felt alone.

Jesus Christ is still the answer.

He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. He is the Great Physician, the Prince of Peace, the Wonderful Counselor, and the Good Shepherd. His grace is sufficient, His mercy is everlasting, and His love never fails.

If He could take someone like me, from what felt like hell on earth to a life devoted to His Kingdom. He can certainly transform your life as well.

Do not allow your past to dictate your destiny.
Do not permit your pain to silence your purpose.
Allow God to write a new chapter.
Trust Him even when you cannot trace His hand.
Stand firm upon His promises.
Believe that your greatest testimony may still be ahead of you.

Every day I live is another opportunity to glorify the One who rescued me. Every breath I breathe belongs to Him. Every soul reached through this ministry is a reminder that God’s grace is greater than our greatest failures.

My journey is not about how strong I have become.
It is about how faithful God has always been.

Heavenly Father, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude. Thank You for Your amazing grace, unfailing mercy, and everlasting love. Thank You for never giving up on me, even when I wandered far from Your will. Thank You for seeing beyond my brokenness and calling me according to Your divine purpose.

Lord, I pray for every person reading these words today. Meet them exactly where they are. Heal every wounded heart, restore every broken relationship according to Your will, strengthen every weary soul, and remind them that nothing is impossible with You. Break every chain of fear, addiction, shame, unforgiveness, and despair. Replace hopelessness with faith, sorrow with joy, and weakness with Your strength.

Help us to trust You through every season of life. Teach us to walk by faith and not by sight. Let our lives become living testimonies of Your redeeming power so that others may come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. May everything, we do bring honor, praise, and glory to Your holy name. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen and To God Be The Glory!
