“YOU CANNOT BREAK A PERSON WHO GETS THEIR STRENGTH FROM GOD”
Life has a way of testing us in ways we could never prepare for. Trials, disappointments, and battles come unexpectedly, and sometimes it feels as though the weight of the world is on our shoulders. But here is the truth: you cannot break a person who draws their strength from God. The reason is simple, their foundation is not rooted in themselves, in people, or in circumstances, but in the Almighty, who never fails.
The psalmist declares in Psalm 28:7 (KJV): “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”
When you anchor your life in God, you become unshakable. Problems may bend you, but they cannot break you. Enemies may rise against you, but they cannot overcome you. Storms may rage, but they cannot sink you, because your strength is not natural, it is supernatural.
Think of a tree planted by the rivers of water. The wind may blow, and the seasons may change, but because its roots are nourished from a constant, unending source, it stands firm. That’s the life of a believer who trusts in God. No matter how fierce the battle, God’s strength becomes their shield.
Paul testified in 2 Corinthians 12:9–10 that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness. This means even when you feel tired, broken, or at your lowest, God steps in with a power that cannot be destroyed. The enemy may try to break you, but what he does not understand is that every attempt only drives you deeper into the arms of your Heavenly Father.
So, the next time life throws its hardest punches, remind yourself: I am not standing in my strength. I am standing in God’s strength, and His strength cannot be broken.
Heavenly Father, I thank You for being my source of strength, my refuge, and my shield. I acknowledge that without You, I am weak, but with You, I am unshakable. Lord, remind me daily to lean on You and not on my own understanding. Help me to trust in Your power when life tries to break me. Let my heart rest in the assurance that You are my strength and that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Thank You for being my unbreakable foundation. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
