“WHEN BULLIES WEAR BADGES AND TITLES”

“Bullies aren’t just teenagers in school. They are also adults in offices, with nice titles, who think they have the right to break the spirit of others so they can feel better about their miserable lives.”
Many of us were taught that bullies are found on playgrounds and classroom hallways, pushing others around for attention or control. But the truth is some bullies grow up, but their hearts never mature. They trade in backpacks for briefcases, school desks for corporate offices, and insults for strategic manipulation. Some even wear suits, uniforms, or clerical collars. They hide behind title, tenure, or authority using power not to uplift, but to oppress.
But God sees them.
*He sees every condescending remark spoken behind closed doors.
*He sees every unjust policy crafted to silence voices.
*He sees every tear shed in bathrooms and cars on lunch breaks.
And just as He defended David against Saul… just as He protected Daniel in the lions’ den… He will defend you.
“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” Psalm 9:9 (NIV)
When earthly systems fail us ~ when HR departments ignore us, when pastors gaslight us, when supervisors demean us ~ God does not. He becomes our refuge. Our safe place. Our Defender.
While the world says, “fight fire with fire,” Jesus calls us to something higher.
*Not silence ~ but wisdom.
*Not revenge ~ but righteousness.
*Not bitterness ~ but boundaries.
You may not be able to control how others treat you, but you can control how you respond. You are not weak for walking away. You are not defeated for protecting your peace. You are wise for entrusting justice to the One who never loses a case.
God has not called you to be anyone’s emotional punching bag. You were not created to be belittled, intimidated, or spiritually sabotaged. You are God’s workmanship ~ royalty in the Kingdom. And no title, no position, no corporation, no church leader has the right to break what God Himself has blessed.
Heavenly Father, I come to You today with a heart that has been bruised by those who were supposed to lead with integrity. You see the hurt caused by people who use their titles and authority to crush spirits instead of lifting them. Lord, I refuse to let bitterness take root. Instead, I ask that You be my Defender, my Shield, and my Strong Tower. Give me wisdom to respond with grace but also courage to set boundaries. Strengthen my heart when I am weary. Remind me daily that my worth is not defined by people, but by You. I release every bully, every oppressor, and every manipulator into Your hands ~ for vengeance belongs to You. Restore my joy. Restore my voice. Restore my peace. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray.
Amen and To God Be The Glory!
With love and prayers,
