“THAT’S WHEN YOU KNOW YOU’VE HEALED”

There is a quiet moment in the journey of healing where you revisit the chapters of your past, and something has changed, the pain no longer stings. The memories that once broke you now simply remind you how far God has brought you. That moment is sacred. It’s the evidence of restoration. It’s the sign that God didn’t just bring you through, He brought you out and left the pain in the ashes.
Tears aren’t weakness they are a sign of release. When the story that used to make you weep now brings peace, it’s a sure sign that the Healer has done His work.
God specializes in heart-work. He sees what no one else can see and heals what no one else can touch. You may still carry the memory, but you’re no longer burdened by the weight of it. That’s healing. That’s grace.
If you can tell your story without tears, it’s not that the pain didn’t happen, it’s that God has turned it into peace. And that, dear soul, is a miracle.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3 (NIV)
Heavenly Father, I thank You for being my Healer. Thank You for staying with me through every broken moment and never letting go. The tears I once cried, You caught in Your hands. The wounds I carried, You gently bound. I give You glory for the healing that has come, for the strength to remember without breaking, and for the peace that now guards my heart. I trust You with every part of my story. The past, present, and future. Keep working in me, and let my healing be a testimony of Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen and To God Be The Glory!
With warmth and blessings,
Rev. Dr. Roberta M. Heck, Chaplain
