STANDING FIRM IN CHALLENGING TIMES

We are living in challenging times. What God once called sin is now being praised, and darkness often masquerades as light. In a world where right is called wrong and wrong is celebrated, standing for biblical truth can feel lonely. It may cost you popularity, comfort, or even relationships.

But take heart—faithfulness to God has always set His people apart. Noah was mocked for building an ark. Daniel was thrown into a lion’s den for his devotion. Jesus Himself was rejected by many. Yet their reward wasn’t in human approval—it was in the presence and favor of God.

God doesn’t call us to fit in—He calls us to stand out. He calls us to be a light in the darkness, a voice of truth amid confusion.

So don’t be discouraged when your convictions make you unpopular. Instead, rejoice that your heart is aligned with His.

Galatians 1:10 (NIV): “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

Isaiah 5:20 (NIV): “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness          for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”

Romans 12:2 (NIV): “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be

transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Lord, give me the strength to stand firm in truth, even when the world stands against me. Help me to live for Your approval, not man’s. Renew my mind and anchor my heart in You.
