“RESTORING HONOR AND REVERENCE”

“There once was a time the president was honored, police were respected, newborns were treasured, and the elderly were revered. Let’s bring that back, can we?”

The longing for days when respect, honor, and reverence were not just ideals but lived realities is something many of us feel deeply. Society often changes, and sometimes, values that were once foundational seem to fade. But as believers, we are called to be beacons of light and agents of transformation, restoring dignity where it has been lost.

Scripture reminds us in Romans 13:7 (KJV): “Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.”

This verse calls us to live intentionally, showing honor and respect to those God has placed in authority, to those who serve our communities, to the vulnerable, and to the wisdom of age. It is not about blind obedience or societal expectation. It is about reflecting the heart of God in our daily actions.

Respect begins in the heart. When we honor others, we acknowledge the image of God in them. When we treasure the young and uphold the elderly, we cultivate a society grounded in love, dignity, and divine order. Even when the world seems to drift from these values, we, as children of God, can model them. By doing so, we set the stage for revival, both in families and communities.

Let us also remember that restoration begins with prayer. We cannot rely solely on society to bring back honor, respect, and reverence; we must actively seek God’s guidance and influence others by our example.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of life and the order You have established in society. Lord, awaken in us hearts of honor, respect, and reverence. Help us to treasure the young, uphold those who serve, and honor those in authority according to Your Word. Let our actions reflect Your heart and inspire others to return to a culture of love, dignity, and reverence. Restore what has been lost, Lord, and let Your kingdom values shine through us. In all that we do, may we glorify You and bring Your light to a world in need. In Jesus name I pray, Amen and To God Be The Glory!

With love and prayers,
