MY GOD OF SECOND CHANCES

God is the God of the second chance—and the hundredth chance, and the thousandth chance! No matter how rebellious and sinful we’ve been, He always stands ready to forgive us and welcome us home if we truly repent and commit our lives to Jesus Christ.
God loves you more than you can imagine. He loves you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for your sins and give you eternal life. (John 3:16) He loves you so much that He knows everything about you, even the number of hairs on your head. (Matthew 10:30) He loves you so much that He has a good plan for your life, to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
There are many ways to know God loves you, but here are some of them: He offers you new life. When you believe in Jesus and repent of your sins, you become a new creation in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17) You are born again by the Spirit of God and receive His grace and peace. (John 3:3-8; Romans 5:1)
He offers an opportunity for fellowship. God invites you to have a personal relationship with Him through prayer, worship, and reading His Word. (Psalm 145:18; John 4:23-24; 2 Timothy 3:16-17) He also gives you a family of believers who love and support you. (Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 John 4:7-8)
He offers an assurance of His love. God demonstrates His love for you in many ways, such as providing for your needs, protecting you from harm, guiding you by His Spirit, and comforting you in times of trouble. (Philippians 4:19; Psalm 91:1-16; John 16:13; 2 Corinthians 1:3-4) He also gives you His promises in the Bible that He will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5; Joshua 1:9)
