FROM THE MANGER TO THE CROSS – THE WAY MADE CLEAR

Scripture Focus: John 14:6 – “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

On this Resurrection morning, we remember not only the empty tomb but the entire journey that led to it – beginning in a manger, winding through a life of perfect obedience, and culminating on the cross. Rev. Dr. Roberta Heck’s powerful video reminds us that Easter is not just about the resurrection, but about the Way that was made through Jesus Christ from the very beginning.

His Birth was the light breaking into a dark world. God wrapped in flesh, entering the mess of humanity not with fanfare, but with humility. Jesus came not to rule from a throne but to serve, to love, and ultimately – to die.

His Crucifixion was the ultimate act of love. The spotless Lamb willingly laid down His life for the sins of the world. What looked like defeat was in fact a victory. The blood poured out on Calvary was not the end – but the doorway to eternity.

His Resurrection is the exclamation point of the Gospel. Death could not hold Him. The stone was rolled away, not to let Jesus out, but to let us in – to a new reality, a new covenant, a new hope.

This is The Way: From birth to crucifixion to resurrection—Jesus opened the only road that leads to life eternal. And He calls us to follow.

2. In what ways are you walking “The Way” Jesus laid out?

3. Who in your life needs to hear that there is a Way made for them?

Lord Jesus, thank You for coming to us, for dying for us, and for rising again. On this Easter Sunday, help us to walk the path You paved with love and sacrifice. May our lives reflect the power of Your resurrection and the beauty of Your grace. Let us follow You – the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Amen.
