“FAITH IS LETTING GO AND LETTING GOD”

Faith isn’t just believing God can make it happen, it’s trusting Him enough to let go. True faith means surrendering our grip on the outcome and allowing God to lead, even when the road ahead is uncertain. It takes courage to release our own plans, timelines, and desires, but that’s exactly where God meets us with His peace, His power, and His purpose.
Sometimes we try to control everything because we’re afraid of what might happen if we don’t. But faith is not about having all the answers; it’s about trusting the One who does. When we let God take control, we find strength in His sovereignty, not in our strategies. We learn that His ways are always higher, His timing always perfect, and His love never fails.
Letting God take control doesn’t mean we stop caring. It means we stop carrying what was never ours to bear. He invites us to cast our cares on Him, to trust Him with the unknown, and to walk by faith, not by sight.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)
Heavenly Father, I thank You for being trustworthy even when life feels uncertain. I confess that I sometimes try to control things out of fear. Give me the courage to surrender; to let go and let You take control. Help me walk in faith, believing that You are guiding my steps, even when I cannot see the way. Lead me according to Your will and remind me that Your plan is always better than mine. I trust You, Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen and To God Be The Glory!
With warmth and blessings,
Rev. Dr. Roberta M. Heck, Chaplain
