DON'T ARGUE WITH DONKEYS (A Fable)

One day, a donkey said to a tiger: "The grass is blue."

The tiger, puzzled, replied: "No, the grass is green.

"Their discussion grew heated, and they decided to seek judgment from the lion, the King of the Jungle.

Before they even reached the clearing where the lion sat on his throne, the donkey began shouting: "Your Majesty, isn't it true that the grass is blue?"

The lion, observing the situation, calmly responded: "Yes, the grass is blue.

"Overjoyed, the donkey continued: "The tiger disagrees with me, contradicts me, and annoys me. Please punish him.

"The lion, with a solemn nod, declared: "The tiger shall be punished with five years of silence.

"The donkey, thrilled with his victory, trotted away happily, repeating: "The grass is blue! The grass is blue!"

The tiger, accepting his punishment, turned to the lion and asked: "Your Majesty, why did you punish me? The grass is green."

The lion sighed and said: "Indeed, the grass is green.

"Confused, the tiger asked: "Then why am I being punished?"

The lion replied: "Because a wise and noble creature like you should never waste time arguing with a fool. Some people do not seek truth or reason—they only seek to be right, no matter the cost. By engaging with them, you diminish yourself.

"Moral of the Story: The greatest waste of time is arguing with those who are not interested in facts but only in winning the debate. Some are blinded by ego, ignorance, or resentment, and no amount of logic will change their minds. When ignorance shouts, intelligence stays silent. Protect your peace—it’s worth more than proving a point.
