“YOU DESERVE THE LOVE YOU GIVE”

So often, we pour our hearts into others. Encouraging them, praying for them, forgiving them, showing up for them, and yet we neglect to extend that same grace to ourselves. We give love freely, yet question whether we are worthy of it in return. But here’s the truth: you are just as deserving of the love, kindness, patience, and compassion that you so generously give to others.
God doesn’t call us to love others while abandoning ourselves. In fact, Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31). That command assumes that loving yourself is not only allowed, but also essential. Loving yourself isn’t prideful; it’s recognizing your worth as someone created in God’s image and deeply loved by Him.
The love you keep giving often without measure or condition is beautiful. But it’s time to reflect that love inward too. Give yourself permission to heal, to rest, to be forgiven, and to be loved, not just by others, but by yourself and by God. You are loved, deeply and completely, by the One who created you. Let that truth sink in. And as you share love with others, remember to receive it for yourself as well.
“We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 (NIV)
Father God, I thank You for loving me first, without condition and without limits. Help me to see myself through Your eyes; worthy, valuable, and loved. Teach me to extend the same love to myself that I so easily give to others. Heal the parts of me that feel undeserving. Replace my self-criticism with grace and my doubts with truth. Let Your love fills me so deeply that it overflows in every direction, including inward. In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen and To God Be The Glory!
With warmth and blessings,
