“LIFE REBORN ~ TO BE BORN AGAIN”

The poem Life Reborn – To Be Born Again speaks to the sacred mystery of transformation. It is not merely about changing habits or improving behavior, but about a complete spiritual rebirth, one that only God can accomplish. To be “born again” is to experience the death of the old self and the awakening of a new life rooted in Christ. This rebirth is often quiet, sometimes painful, but always purposeful.
In the poem, rebirth suggests shedding. A shedding of shame, of past identity, of burdens carried too long. It reflects the moment when the soul surrenders control and allows God to recreate what was once broken. This mirrors the Christian journey so many of us walk today. We live in a world that constantly tells us to redefine ourselves, yet true renewal does not come from self-reinvention; it comes from divine regeneration.
Jesus spoke clearly about this truth. When Nicodemus, a religious man, came to Him seeking understanding, Jesus did not offer philosophy or ritual. He spoke of rebirth, a spiritual birth. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3, KJV
To be born again means allowing God to enter the deepest places of our hearts. The places where we try to hide the wounds we carry, the sins that weigh us down. It means accepting that the old life, no matter how familiar, cannot lead us where God is calling us to go. Rebirth requires humility. It requires trust. And often, it requires letting go of who we thought we were.
Today, this message is more relevant than ever. Many are weary, searching for meaning, carrying silent pain. The poem’s theme of life being reborn reminds us that our past does not disqualify us from God’s future. No failure is final when placed in the hands of a redeeming Savior. God does not simply repair us; He makes us new.
Being born again does not mean we will never struggle. It means we no longer struggle alone. The reborn life is marked by grace, growth, and a renewed desire to walk in God’s will. It is a daily choosing, to live not by the flesh, but by the Spirit.
Rebirth also brings identity. We are no longer defined by what we did, what was done to us, or what the world calls us. We are defined by who we belong to. When God breathes new life into us, we rise, not perfect, but forgiven; not finished, but faithful.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that without You we are nothing. Thank You for the gift of new life through Jesus Christ. Thank You for meeting us in our brokenness and offering us rebirth instead of condemnation. Lord, help us to lay down the old selves, starting with our fears, our sins, our regrets, and fully surrender to the new life You desire for us. Create in us clean hearts and renew a right spirit within us. Teach us to walk daily in obedience, humility, and faith. For those who feel lost, weary, or unworthy, remind them that Your mercy makes all things new. Let the power of being born again transform our minds, our hearts, and our lives for Your glory. We trust You, we praise You, and we give You all honor. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen and To God Be The Glory!
